• Location data (city, zip code, or precise GPS location if enabled by the user)

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• With other users as part of the matchmaking process (limited profile info)
• With service providers who assist in operating our platform, including:

• Supabase – Backend infrastructure, database hosting, and authentication services
• Analytics providers – To help us understand app usage patterns and improve performance (anonymized/aggregated data only)
• Push notification providers – To deliver match updates, team invitations, and other time-sensitive notifications to your device

• When required by law or to protect our legal rights
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (users will be notified)

All third-party service providers are contractually obligated to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify. They are not permitted to use your personal data for their own marketing purposes.

5. Data Storage, Security and Retention

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase as our backend provider, which employs robust security measures including encrypted data transfer and storage.

We retain your personal data only for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days, unless we are required to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data – You can easily delete your account at any time through the Settings section within the app, or by visiting the Delete Account page on our website
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Opt out of non-essential communications

7. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will also notify you via in-app notification or email.

9. California Privacy Rights (CalOPPA/CCPA Notice)

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA):

• We do not sell your personal data. MatchPly has never sold personal information and has no plans to do so.
• Right to Know: You may request details about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
• Right to Delete: You may request that we delete any personal information we have collected from you.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

Do Not Track (DNT) Disclosure

Our app does not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals at this time, as there is no industry-standard protocol for handling DNT requests in mobile applications. However, we do not engage in cross-site tracking of our users. You can control your privacy settings within the app at any time.
